9/29/09 - Workouts in Full Swing... September is always a busy time of year for us. Although we cannot start official practices until October 16th, we are still finding ways to get better. Our players have been working hard in the weight room with our new strength and conditioning coach Preston Greene. The NCAA also allows teams to work out on the court for up to two hours a week. So far the workouts have been going great. Our players have been enthusiastic and committed as we begin to lay down our foundation for our team: pressure defense, and an up-tempo, transition offensive attack. We have already seen great improvement in our players since the start of school and I can't wait until we get practice going. For the second year in a row we will once again kick off our practices with Rock the John. Rock the John will be held in Littlejohn Coliseum at 8:00 on October 16th. Admission for this event is free and it will be your first chance to check out this year's Tigers! The event was a blast last year and it promises to be even better this year.
