6/25/09 - Summer Camp Wrap-up... As a child growing up in Maryland I had the opportunity to attend Morgan Wooten's basketball camps at DeMatha High School. It was at these camps that I first fell in love with the game of basketball. Without that incredible camp experience I would not be where I am today. Last Sunday marked the end of our camp season here at Clemson. This year we held three different camps. Our first camp was our elite camp. The two-day elite camp featured about thirty of our top high school prospects from the 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012 classes. The camp provided us with a great opportunity to work with some of the top young talent in the country. The following week over 300 young basketball players came to Littlejohn Coliseum to participate in our individual camp. This was by far our biggest camp yet since coming to Clemson. After four days of teaching basketball fundamentals to our campers, the staff geared up for our final camp, which was our team camp. More than 60 teams from all over the south came to compete in the three-day event. All three camps ran very smoothly and were great successes. We received a ton of positive feedback from campers and parents and we hosted our greatest number of campers. The camps served as yet another reminder that Clemson Basketball continues to climb to new heights! Go Tigers!
