02/26/07 - More Resolve Than Ever … It has been a very tough couple of weeks since the last time I checked in with you all on the blog. We have played well in spurts over those games, but we have not been able to finish off the games with wins. It has been very frustrating to all involved – players, staff, and fans. However, I can assure you that we have more resolve than ever to get these problems fixed and finish the season strong. Wednesday night will be senior night and we will recognize Vernon Hamilton for all of his great accomplishments over his 4 year career here. Vernon has been a very consistent performer for us and has earned numerous accolades over the years. Some of these accomplishments include, being the all time steals leader at Clemson, the MVP of the San Juan Shootout, and being selected to the All ACC defensive team. We look forward to honoring Vernon along with senior walk-on Chris Poole and senior manager Jeff Kallin. Chris works extremely hard for us in practice and does a great job of running the scout team. Jeff has been the ultimate glue guy for our program over the last 3 seasons and is a tremendous worker. We will continue to work hard and push our players this week in practice as we prepare for our 2 final regular season games and the ACC Tournament. Free Throws and 6 minute games, where we play out the final 6 minutes of game situations, will continue to be priorities in our preparation. I believe the hard work that we have put into these 2 areas will pay off down the stretch. I look forward to seeing you all at Littlejohn on Wednesday night as we close out our home schedule against Miami at 7:30pm! -- Coach P
